About the Event
On May 4-5, more than 1,000 local leaders from throughout Southern California will convene for SCAG’s 52nd annual Regional Conference and General Assembly at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, CA.
 
This two-day conference will featured presentations and panel discussions addressing the question of how to maximize opportunities and meet the challenges of a region that is expected to add 4 million people over the next 25 years. This highly anticipated event brings together state and local elected officials, CEOs, business and civic leaders, transportation and environmental stakeholders, local government staff and others.
 
The program will feature the 2017 SCAG Sustainability Awards, which recognize exemplary projects transportation and land use projects in the region. For more information or to nominate a project, please visit: http://sustain.scag.ca.gov
 
The conference is free for elected officials and city managers in the region.
 
The registration fee is non-refundable after Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Please note: The Regional Council meeting on Thursday, May 4 is open to the public at no cost.
To participate in any Regional Conference and General Assembly activity (Breakout Sessions, Panel Discussions/Presentations, Sustainability Awards, or Meals) you must be registered for the conference. On-site/walk-in registration will be available 8:30 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017.
