Mapping & GIS
This section provide users with access to spatial data available from the website or that may be
ordered through the website. You will also be able to find an Interactive Atlas, which permit users to view, print,
and download interactive maps. You will also be able to find a list of existing maps that are
available from SCAG publications or have been created for other planning activities.
What's New
The Southern California Association of Governments has produced two sets of transportation analysis zones (TAZ) for the 2012-2035 Regional Transportation Plan. We have also produced socioeconomic data for the two zone systems. The more aggregate level is represented by 4,109 zones (Tier 1) across the SCAG region and the more detailed level by 11,267 TAZs (Tier 2). - Electronic Map Gallery
This map gallery was designed to meet the growing need for basic maps about the SCAG region.
The map gallery is intended to exhibit SCAG's original work and to support our on-going data
sharing and dissemination effort.
- Interactive Atlas
The SCAG Interactive Atlas allows you to view information prepared by SCAG which contain data for the entire Southern California region. You can use the atlas to browse and print maps of socio-economic, demographic, and boundary data from the scale of a single neighborhood to the entire SCAG region.
- California Land Opportunities Tracking System (CALOTS) BETA
An interactive web-portal that provides a platform for users to query and spatially map contextual indicators, and is particularly useful to assess potential for infill development and analyze parcel data.
- Map Collaborator BETA
This simple online mapping system allows users to choose an agency, view their holdings on a web map and use online tools to make notes, draw new parks or propose realignments of existing data, edit current shapes and even upload your own GIS files to the map.
- Regional Transportation Monitoring & Information System (RTMIS)
A transportation monitoring and performance assessment application. It assists in monitoring and assessing the performance of the current transportation system against regional goals.
