The public plays a key role in every aspect of SCAG's regional planning efforts. SCAG provides information, timely public notice and access to key decisions to support early and continuing public involvement in developing its regional plans.

Public Participation Plan

The Public Participation Plan is a document that guides SCAG's public involvement process by outlining objectives, goals and intended outcomes.

ADA Notice and Grievance Procedure

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”), the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) shall not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its programs, services or activities.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 / Accessibility Rights

SCAG seeks to ensure that no person is excluded from participating in any of the agency's programs or public meetings. In addition to complying with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, SCAG also translates key materials and provides translator services to ensure that the region's diverse populations are involved in the planning process.

If you have a specific issue or concern, you may want to contact a member of SCAG's governing board. Local elected officials throughout Southern California serve on SCAG's Regional Council and represent one or more communities within the region.
