SCAG Invites You to Submit Comments on the

Draft 2008 Regional Comprehensive Plan

Per direction from the SCAG Regional Council, the 2008 Regional Comprehensive Plan (RCP) will be considered for adoption on September 11, 2008. As such, public comments on the Draft plan will be due to SCAG staff at 5 pm on Monday August 11*.

The Draft RCP is available on the SCAG website at www.scag.ca.gov/rcp/draft.htm. Compact disc copies, and a limited number of hard copies are available upon request. All comments must be submitted in writing, though e-mail is acceptable. An e-mail prompt can be found on the website. Comments submitted by mail should be directed to:

Upcoming RCP Workshops

SCAG is pleased to announce the final two workshops to review the Draft RCP.

The workshops will be held on Thursday, August 7th from 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday, August 11th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at SCAG’s Downtown Los Angeles office. The workshops will invite dialogue on the draft RCP from the Regional Council, policy committees, stakeholders and the public. In addition, the workshop on August 7th will feature a timely presentation from Mayor Debbie Cook (City of Huntington Beach) on the cause and consequence of high oil prices.
