Draft 2008 Regional Comprehensive Plan:
Helping Communities Achieve a Sustainable Future

The Regional Comprehensive Plan is a problem-solving guidance document that directly responds to what we've learned about Southern California's challenges through the annual State of the Region report card.  It responds to SCAG's Regional Council directive in the 2002 Strategic Plan to develop a holistic, strategic plan for defining and solving our inter-related housing, traffic, water, air quality, and other regional challenges.  Through extensive outreach and input from the RCP Task Force, SCAG's policy committees, subregions, local governments and other key stakeholders, the RCP is a collaborative effort to address our region's challenges and set a path forward.
