	Web Accessible Geodata Search
	The Web Accessible Geodata Search (WAGS) site was created to allow users to easily find spatial data by searching metadata information. This Intranet/Internet application gives each user the ability to search through the thousands of entries to create "baskets" of GIS data. Once the basket is created, staff members can download the basket contents and load it into either ArcView or ArcExplorer. Non-SCAG staff personnel may request the basket's data contents on-line. Certain data sets can also be downloaded directly from the basket to end-user'c PC. The WAGS site contains detailed documentation of data sets, tables and attributes to facilitate precise selection of information. Complete attribute information is available for each table of each data set. In addition, data tables that work together are documented as both stand alone data sets and as "packages" of related data. Packages are documented with each data table and their related fields for convenient decision making as to their appropriateness for individual user applications.
