Securing Federal Funding from the IIJA and IRA

Toolbox Tuesday Money Monday Session

Post

With the one-year anniversary of the passage of the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) approaching and the recently passed Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), there is unprecedented opportunity for local governments to secure critical federal funding to invest in infrastructure and to mitigate the impacts of climate change. This presentation will provide an overview of the IIJA funding that has been released; key criteria that the Administration has used to evaluate funding proposals and tips for successful applications; as well as upcoming opportunities for both IIJA and IRA.

Toolbox Tuesdays provide training on a range of practical skills and knowledge for local planning practitioners including training in the use of technology and education for practical approaches to timely issues. All classes and webinars are COMPLIMENTARY for staff of SCAG-member local governments and other SCAG partners in Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties. Private sector planners, non-profit staff, academics and students are welcome to attend.
