Transit & Intercity Rail Capital Program
The Transit & Intercity Rail Capital Program is funded through SB 1 and Cap-and-Trade revenues. This program provides grant funding for transformative capital improvements that will modernize and expand California’s intercity, commuter, and urban rail systems, and bus and ferry transit systems to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. $1.39 billion was awarded to projects in the SCAG region by the California State Transportation Agency.
