Developer: Coachella Valley Housing Corporation (CVHC)

The Coachella Valley Housing Coalition (CVHC), along with its partner the United States Veterans Initiative (U.S. VETS), is developing a 138-unit, 100% affordable apartment for the many veterans who find themselves without adequate housing and public green space. CVHC and U.S. VETS are creating a community to help veterans “get back on their feet” by providing job assistance training, financial literacy classes, case management, counseling and career opportunities.

TRANSPORTATION
  • Every resident receives a monthly bus pass from the Riverside Transit Agency
PROGRAMS
  • CVHC and U.S. VETS will expand U.S. VETS existing vanpool program. U.S. VETS currently takes veterans several times a day from the Moreno Valley location to the Veterans Affairs Hospital at Loma Linda. This vanpool service also takes veterans on job interviews, to the grocery store, and to run other errands around the community
