SCAG Regional Data Platform (RDP)
SCAG’s RDP is an innovative system for collaborative data sharing and planning designed to facilitate better planning at all levels—from cities and counties of all sizes up to the region as a whole.
SCAG Final Racial Equity Early Action Plan Update
SCAG released the final update to the Racial Equity Action Early Plan—culminating a three-year process to center equity in SCAG plans and processes.
Regional Early Action Planning Program (REAP) 1.0 Update
SCAG’s REAP 1.0 program, with $47 million in funding, supported local housing initiatives to enhance equity, supply, affordability, and accessibility. SCAG published a project list detailing county-level investments in the region.
Board
Executive Administration Committee
The Executive/ Administration Committee is responsible for developing policy recommendations to the Regional Council on administration, human resources, budgets, finance, operations, communications, or any other matter specifically referred to the Committee by the Regional Council.
The meeting will be conducted in-person, members of the public may participate in-person and remotely by telephonic and video conference.
Community, Economic and Human Development Committee
The role of the CEHD Committee is to study problems, programs and other matters which pertain to the regional issues of community, economic and human development and growth. This committee reviews projects, plans and programs of regional significance for consistency and conformity with applicable regional plans.
Energy and Environment Committee
The EEC considers environmental and energy issues of regional significance, including but not limited to air quality, water quality, solid and hazardous waste, habitat preservation, environmental justice, and environmental impact analysis.
Transportation Committee
The role of the Transportation Committee is to study problems, programs and other matters which pertain to the regional issues of mobility, air quality, transportation control measures and communications, and make recommendations on such matters to the Regional Council.
Regional Council
The Regional Council is the governing board of SCAG and consists of 86 elected officials representing 191 cities, six counties, county transportation commissions, transportation corridor agencies, tribal governments and air districts in Southern California.

LA County’s 17th Annual GIS Day
Los Angeles County’s 17th Annual Geographic Information System (GIS) Day will take place on Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gloria Molina Grand Park, in downtown Los Angeles. This year’s theme, “Think Differently, THINK SPATIALLY,” explores how GIS technology enhances decision-making, improves public services, and offers educational opportunities. Whether you are a GIS pro or new to the field, this event will help you understand and leverage the power of geospatial data.
SCAG 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games Freight Industry Forum
As part of SCAG’s work with the Games Mobility Executive partners comprising LA28, Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority, Los Angeles Department of Transportation, Caltrans, Metrolink, and SCAG, we are leading the transportation demand management workstream to support the region’s travel demands leading up to and throughout the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

2024 Southern California Economic Update
