Extreme Heat Mitigation Resources
Toolbox Tuesday
SCAG is partnering with Los Angeles Regional Collaborative (LARC) to explore data, resources and strategies for extreme heat mitigation. LARC will share information about which residents are most at risk of heat related illness and provide access to free resources for local governments to distribute via social media and at public events. Additionally, SCAG will present on upcoming grant opportunities to address extreme heat, a new informational webpage on urban forestry and more.
Toolbox Tuesdays provide training on a range of practical skills and knowledge for local planning practitioners including training in the use of technology and education for practical approaches to timely issues. All classes and webinars are COMPLIMENTARY for staff of SCAG-member local governments and other SCAG partners in Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties. Private sector planners, non-profit staff, academics and students are welcome to attend.
