SCAG relies heavily on outside consultants and other vendors to help accomplish the overall mission and objectives of the agency. We are always striving to increase the breadth and depth of talent in our pool of potential vendors, and are especially interested in bringing more certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise’s into the fold.
SCAG welcomes your interest, involvement and participation in the activities and programs aimed at resolving the issues facing the six-county Southern California region. The public plays a key role in every aspect of SCAG’s regional planning efforts. SCAG provides information, timely public notice and access to key decisions to support early and continuing public involvement in developing its regional plans.
Welcome to SCAG’s grant opportunities page. Here you will find information on current open grant opportunities offered by various agencies that may be pertinent to your agency’s workplan. SCAG gathers this information in order to disseminate it to all interested agencies in the SCAG region.
The data is organized to highlight the basic characteristics of each of the grant opportunities. Click on the “Read More” links to view additional information about the grant opportunity and application requirements.
The SCAG Scholarship Program offers local government and planning experience that students can use to develop long-term career goals. The scholarship will provide a $4,000 scholarship award for seven high school or community college students from the SCAG region (and potentially two additional scholarship awards that are not tied to a specific county, but would be awarded at the Regional Council’s discretion), a two-week internship with a local planning agency or council of governments, and the opportunity to meet with elected officials and practicing planners to learn more about careers in public service.
