Local Climate Adaptation in L.A. County: Incorporating Climate Adaptation into Planning Efforts

Workshop

Post

By January 2022, all cities and counties in California must include climate adaptation and resiliency strategies in their local planning. Under 15% of jurisdictions in LA County meet this requirement currently.

To support cities in meeting their planning goals, Los Angeles Regional Collaborative (LARC) will hold a half-day forum to provide tools and resources. Interactive workshops will focus on how to properly assess, develop, and implement climate adaptation and resilience strategies. This forum will bring together City and County planning staff and emergency managers, contract planners, and planning consultants from the L.A. region.
