Paint, Posts and Pilots – Doing More with Less through Quick Build

During the COVID-19 pandemic, cities around the country have been forced to do more with less. Quick build projects are an ideal approach for the pandemic and beyond as they deliver sorely needed active transportation improvements using low-cost materials on a compressed timeline.

This panel brings together agency staff from across Los Angeles County who have extensive experience implementing quick build projects and will share their lessons learned from implementing a variety of quick build projects from protected bike lanes, curb extensions, parklet installations as well as a newly published guide on quick build best practices.
