Regional Climate Collaboratives Program & Vulnerable Communities Platform Joint Listening Session for Tribal Communities

This listening session is an opportunity for Tribal governments, Tribal-serving organizations, and indigenous individuals to learn about two new equity-focused efforts from SGC and the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and to share insights to inform both efforts early in their development processes. SGC staff will overview the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program (SB 1072, Leyva) and OPR staff will share about the Integrated Climate Adaptation & Resiliency Program (ICARP)’s Vulnerable Communities Platform, an integrated platform identifying communities and indicators driving climate vulnerability and adaptation & resilience opportunities. Our goal is to ensure both State efforts include perspectives and ideas from California’s Tribal communities.
