Safe and Active Streets Working Group

This meeting of the Safe & Active Streets Working Group will include updates on the annual transportation safety target update process, a listening session by the SCAG Go Human team, and an update on the Go Human Community Hubs project. The meeting will also feature updates on the SCAG Sustainable Communities Program (SCP) Call for Applications and on the development of Connect SoCal 2024, including the Active Transportation Technical Report.

The Regional Planning Working Groups (RPWG) provide a forum to engage stakeholders in the development and implementation of plans and policies to advance the region’s mobility, economic and sustainability goals. These groups will also help support the development of Connect SoCal 2024, the Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy.

Given the declared state of emergency (pursuant to State of Emergency Proclamation dated March 4, 2020) and local public health directives imposing and recommending social distancing measures due to the threat of COVID-19, and pursuant to Government Code Section 54953(e)(1)(A), the meeting will be held telephonically and electronically.
