Sysco’s Investing in our Planet Earth Day Event

SCAG’s Last Mile Freight Program partnership with the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) has established our commitment to the larger goods movement emission reduction effort established by the MSRC.

Stress on global supply chains is magnifying air quality challenges that continue to impact the public health of the region. Last mile freight activity is a critical component of supply chains for both consumers and intermediary businesses dealing with physical goods. We are focused on the commercial deployment of zero-emission or near zero-emission heavy or medium duty on-road trucks through coordination with both public and private sector stakeholders to deploy broader innovative technologies currently being demonstrated by leading last mile delivery companies.

We are pleased to demonstrate our commitment to a cleaner planet through our funding of 17 clean air trucks and 17 chargers, some of which will be showcased at Sysco’s “Investing in our Planet Earth Day Event.”
