The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, established through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, provides funding for electric vehicle charging infrastructure to fill gaps in the Alternative Fuel Corridors and establish an interconnected network of electric vehicle chargers. California’s share of the NEVI funding is estimated at $384 million over five years.

The California Energy Commission (CEC) and California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will co-host a staff workshop on Tuesday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, to introduce and discuss preliminary elements of the California State Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan as required by the NEVI Funding Program. This will be the fourth workshop in an ongoing series hosted by the California State Transportation Agency, Caltrans and CEC to engage stakeholders during development of the NEVI Plan.
