Cal Adapt’s Local Climate Change Snapshot Tool

Toolbox Tuesday

Post

Communities across California continue to experience and prepare for the devastating impacts of climate change, such as increasingly frequent and damaging wildfires, abrupt and severe rain events, or worsening health impacts due to increasing extreme heat days. Due to our state’s diverse climate, these effects vary significantly throughout California. Cal Adapt has developed a tool that provides climate projections for temperature, precipitation and wildfire.

The Local Climate Change Snapshot Tool was designed to be easy to use and accessible to users. The tool can be used by local jurisdictions to develop climate change and resilience plans, projects, and programs. This training will provide an in-depth demonstration of the tool and its indicators, showcasing different features.
