Councilmember Art Brown was first elected to the Buena Park City Council in 1990 and served four consecutive terms. After a two-year break, Art was again elected to the Buena Park City Council in 2012 where he is currently in his second consecutive term. He has served seven one-year terms as Mayor. A long-time resident of Buena Park, Art has a history of public service with service in the United States Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. He currently serves as the curator of the Buena Park Historical Society, is a member of the Buena Park Cable Foundation and member and former president of the Buena Park Noon Lions Club. Both Art and his wife volunteer their time to serve as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus for Buena Park and other civic organizations.
