Connect SoCal 2050 Community Partner Program Applications Now Open

News

SCAG is seeking up to 20 community-based organizations to participate in the Connect SoCal 2050 Community Partner Program. Through this paid partnership, selected organizations will help engage local community members and collect feedback to help shape the Connect SoCal 2050 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy.

Connect SoCal 2050 is a long-range vision for Southern California that balances future mobility and housing needs with economic and environmental goals. By partnering with trusted local organizations, SCAG will develop regional strategies and policies that include community priorities, local knowledge, and real-life experiences.

Community partners will work with SCAG and its consultant, Kearns & West, to support community engagement activities that inform Connect SoCal 2050. Partners will use their local knowledge and relationships to connect with residents, collect feedback, and recommend regional strategies and policies that reflect the needs and priorities of the communities they serve.

Selected organizations will be paid for activities they complete under the program. To be eligible, organizations must:

  • Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN), or work with a fiscal sponsor that meets these requirements.
  • Serve communities in at least one of the following Southern California counties: Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura.

Interested organizations must complete the online application by Dec. 18. The application should take approximately 10-30 minutes to complete. Responses will help SCAG assess each organization’s compatibility with the Connect SoCal 2050 Community Partner Program.
