SCAG is circulating the Community Hubs for Mega-Events Needs Assessment Survey to learn how local jurisdictions are planning fan zones and community hubs for the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The survey will identify existing efforts, resource constraints, and funding gaps to help SCAG deliver effective technical assistance and support as jurisdictions prepare for the LA28 Games.

This survey is an early step in SCAG’s Community Hubs Toolkit and Activation Program, which will develop a toolkit to support planning fan zones and community hubs for the LA28 Games. The program will also support activations across the SCAG region to test concepts and share lessons learned. Survey responses will inform funding opportunities and technical assistance by identifying the support jurisdictions need most to plan, implement, and activate fan zones and community hubs during the LA28 Games.

SCAG invites you to take the needs assessment survey today. Your feedback will help maximize the local and regional impact of the LA28 Games, guide funding decisions, and support lasting community benefits for 2028 and beyond. The survey closes on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11:59 p.m.
