Regional Data Platform Featured On Harvard’s Data-smart City Solutions Podcast

News

The Regional Data Platform (RDP) is harnessing GIS and data to improve the quality of life in Southern California. SCAG President Rex Richardson and Chief Operating Officer Darin Chidsey spoke with Professor Stephen Goldsmith about how the RDP is going to transform regional data sharing and collaboration on the inaugural Data-Smart City Solutions podcast from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Join this ground-breaking initiative! SCAG is making a suite of five Esri software licenses available to one designated staff member in each jurisdiction in the SCAG region to help support local planning activities and build technological capacity in the region.

These software licenses may be used by local jurisdiction staff or their consultants in support of long-range planning efforts, such as General Plan updates (including housing, safety, environmental justice and land use elements among others) and Environmental Impact Reports.

Need Technical Assistance for your General Plan Update? LIST is here to help! To support use of Esri licenses for local planning activities, SCAG’s Local Information Services Team (LIST) has rolled out a General Plan Update Technical Assistance Program. This program provides one-on-one assistance, helping local jurisdictions leverage SCAG’s comprehensive, parcel-level, land use database and Esri software to advance long range planning.
