SCAG Hosts 2026 Inland Zero Emission Vehicle Forum
Local, regional, state, industry, and community leaders gathered today at the Riverside Convention Center for the 2026 Inland Zero Emission Vehicle Forum to advance zero-emission vehicle and infrastructure deployment across Inland Southern California. Co-hosted by the Western Riverside County Clean Cities Coalition and the Southern California Clean Cities Coalition, the annual forum provides a collaborative space to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate the transition to clean transportation.
Designed for fleet managers, policymakers, sustainability professionals, utility representatives, educators, technology providers, and other stakeholders, the one-day event included information on the latest industry updates, technical training, policy discussions, and networking opportunities.
The forum complements SCAG’s broader portfolio of zero-emission transportation initiatives, including the “Southern California Zero Emission Truck Infrastructure Study,” which is planning a regional network of charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure for medium-and heavy-duty freight vehicles; the Last Mile Freight Program, which currently has an open call for applications (through Oct. 5) for battery-electric vehicle rebates to reduce emissions from freight and delivery vehicles; the “SCAG EV Charging Station Study and Plug-In Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan,” which identifies opportunities to expand electric vehicle charging access in underserved communities; the “Clean Technology Compendium,” a resource highlighting emerging clean transportation technologies and strategies; and the “Innovative Clean Transit Regional Assessment Study” which examines how transit agencies across Southern California are preparing for the state-mandated transition to zero-emission buses. SCAG will also release a Zero-Emission Transit Vehicle Deployment Toolkit this summer, which will help transit agencies transition to zero-emission bus fleets.
