Toolbox Tuesday Explores the Regional Resilience Toolkit
SCAG hosted a Toolbox Session on April 21, 2026, to share insights and information from the Regional Resilience Toolkit, published by SCAG in March 2026.
The Regional Resilience Toolkit supports Southern California communities with resilience planning and is intended for use by any jurisdiction in Southern California, regardless of size, population, experience in resilience planning, or direct encounters with the shocks and stressors of the current age.
The session included discussion about how local jurisdictions can:
- Understand the benefits of local and regional resilience planning.
- Plan for resilience at a range of scales, from integrating resilience into existing plans and programs to developing a standalone plan.
- Clearly outline key resilience planning steps.
- Identify and pursue funding resources and strategies.
The session also highlighted how the toolkit can be tailored to reflect local needs while supporting broader regional goals for resilience.
A recording of the session and the presentation slides are available on the Toolbox Tuesday website.
