SoCal Greenprint Tool Demonstration
Join SCAG for an upcoming Toolbox Tuesday session featuring a demonstration of the SoCal Greenprint tool, a web-mapping application to help users make land use and transportation infrastructure decisions and support conservation investments.
The SoCal Greenprint is an optional, flexible, and open conservation-focused data mapping tool that supports efforts to secure state and federal funding to implement sustainability and resilience projects and programs, as well as advance mitigation planning initiatives in the SCAG region.
The SoCal Greenprint includes publicly available geographic layers covering the following thematic areas: Agriculture and Working Lands; Habitat and Biodiversity; Water Resources; Built Environment; Environmental Justice, Equity and Inclusion; Climate Vulnerabilities and Resilience; and Geographic Context.
Session speakers will include SCAG and Arup staff, including Roland Martin, skills leader for geospatial and Earth observation in Arup’s Los Angeles office, and Eric Ota, full stack software developer in Arup's San Francisco office.
To access the SoCal Greenprint, users will need to create an Arup account as part of the onboarding process. Please email your first and last name to SupportSCAGGreenprint@arup.com to request an account. For access before or during the Toolbox Tuesday session, please submit a request for an account by Sept. 8.
