SoCal Goods Movement Communities Opportunities Assessment

Toolbox Tuesday
March 24, 2026 - 1:00PM - 2:30PM

Join SCAG for a Toolbox Tuesday session presentation on theSoCal Goods Movement Communities Opportunities Assessment, a SCAG initiative to identify strategies for communities to reduce negative impacts and gain economic benefits from the region’s goods movement industry. The session will be held online from 1-2:30 p.m. on March 24. Register online to attend.

Southern California’s goods movement industry powers local and national economies by supporting jobs, trade, and market access. However, some communities feel the negative effects more than others, even though the benefits are widespread.

The session will explain how the SoCal Goods Movement Communities Opportunities Assessment can help the most affected communities benefit from goods movement by focusing on workforce development initiatives, public health, and communications best practices.
