SCAG’s Go Human Mini-Grants Program has provided funding
to non-profits and community-based organizations to implement
local traffic safety projects since 2018. Across four funding
cycles, the Mini-Grants Program awarded over $890,000 to more
than 100 projects in all six counties of the SCAG region.
Program Goal
The Go Human Mini-Grants program aimed to build
street-level community resiliency and increase the safety of
people most harmed by traffic injuries and fatalities, including
without limitation Black, Indigenous and People of Color; people
with disabilities; and frontline workers, particularly those
walking and biking.
Funding for this program has been provided by a grant from
the California Office of
Traffic Safety (OTS), through the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration.
